Welcome to my page! I am a physician scientist studying the mechanistic drivers of neurodevelopment and plasticity. I am particularly interested in how pediatric neurological disorders (e.g., epilepsy) and neurodevelopemental disabilities (e.g., autism) may result from deviations from the brain's typical developmental trajectory. I also am interested in how interventions for pediatric neurological disorders (e.g., pediatric epilepsy surgery) affect cognitive development. My research employs a combination of psychophysics, functional MRI, structural MRI, and data science.
Additionally, I am an advocate for expansion of mentorship opportunities for future physician scientists. I also am an advocate for healthcare reform to improve access to affordable care.
I am currently a child neurology resident in the Departments of Pediatrics and Neurology at New York University. I completed my MD at the University of Pittsburgh and PhD in cognitive neuroscience at Carnegie Mellon University with Dr. Marlene Behrmann.
